A disturbing blackmail case has emerged in the digital age, in which a security guard has been arrested for allegedly harassing and blackmailing a school teacher by creating fake and explicit images using artificial intelligence (AI).
According to the police, the operation was carried out by SHO Shalimar, Ali Hassan, along with his team, following a complaint lodged by the female teacher.
The SP Civil Lines stated that the suspect, identified as Ramzan, was traced and arrested in Khanewal with the assistance of modern technology.
Investigations revealed that the accused had been continuously demanding money from the teacher while threatening to circulate fabricated images of her on social media. During this period, he also allegedly attempted to pressure her into an illicit relationship and persistently subjected her to harassment.
Police further stated that the suspect had resigned from his job and fled to Khanewal, from where he remained in contact using different mobile phone numbers. At the time of arrest, the mobile phone in his possession, along with other digital evidence, was seized by the authorities.
The SP Civil Lines confirmed that a case has been registered against the accused and further investigations are underway. Authorities have also made it clear that strict legal action will be taken against individuals involved in the harassment and blackmail of women.
