KARACHI: Due to the threat of terrorism at major railway stations of the country, security has been beefed up at City, Cantt. and Landhi railway stations in Karachi.
According to sources, in view of the threat of terrorism, beggars have been barred from entering railway stations in Karachi and entry gates have been set up to detect any suspicious entry.
Following the instructions of the Federal Ministry of Interior Affairs, due to security in Karachi, Sukkur, Hyderabad, Rohri and other important railway stations, the entry of men, women and children beggars has been completely banned and strict action would be taken in case of any violation.

Railway police have alerted the commandos for security. The passengers’ luggage is being checked through metal detectors and suspicious luggage and persons are being monitored with the help of close circuit cameras.
Passengers are being appealed through announcements that suspicious movements and luggage should be reported to the police officers on duty in a timely manner.
