Thomas Fielder, the Second Secretary at the German Embassy in Islamabad, was found dead in his apartment within the Diplomatic Enclave.
According to police officials, the diplomat’s body was discovered after staff from the embassy, concerned about his absence from work for two days, entered his apartment and found him unresponsive.
As reported by The News on Monday, following the discovery, the embassy immediately alerted local authorities, who transported Fielder’s body to the hospital for a post-mortem examination.
The cause of death remains undetermined, with further investigation pending the results of the autopsy. Initial reports indicate that Fielder had previously suffered a minor heart attack, which may have contributed to his death.
The German Embassy has been informed of the tragic incident, and investigations are ongoing to determine the full circumstances surrounding his death.
