A six-year-old girl, identified as Hareem Umair, has gone missing near Committee Chowk in Rawalpindi, prompting an extensive search operation by Rescue 1122 and police.
According to Rescue 1122 officials, preliminary information suggests that the girl’s father was helping his children into a vehicle when Hareem suddenly disappeared from sight. The incident has sparked concern among her family and the authorities.
Rescue officials said there is a possibility that the child may have fallen into a nearby storm drain, although the exact circumstances surrounding her disappearance remain unclear. Authorities are continuing to gather information to determine what happened.
Following the report, Rescue 1122’s water rescue teams were dispatched to the scene and launched a search operation at several locations, while police also initiated an investigation into the incident.
According to rescue sources, the search remains ongoing amid concerns that the girl may have fallen into the drain near Committee Chowk. The operation involves five emergency vehicles and more than 12 rescue personnel.
Officials said the rescue operation has been divided into two teams to expand the search and improve coverage of the surrounding areas as efforts to locate the missing child continue.
