SBCA officials allegedly receiving bribe for illegal construction
KARACHI: Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) officials are allegedly receiving a bribe to conceal the information regarding illegally constructed buildings in the metropolis city.  
According to details, SBCA officials have also fixed the bribe rates for concealing the information regarding illegally constructed buildings from Supreme Court.
Sources claimed that the SBCA officials were receiving Rs 5 lakh for constructing the third floor illegally, and Rs 10 to 15 lakh for the fourth floor.
Sources have revealed that Memon State Agency in Liaquatabad (B-One) area was illegally constructing fourth-floor construction on a 120-yard plot.
Sources further revealed that Memon State Agency has also started constructing dozens of illegal buildings in the Liaquatabad (B-One) area.
The Supreme Court of Pakistan has directed the concerned authorities to take action against builders and demolish the illegally constructed buildings.
The Supreme Court has also ordered SBCA officials to prepare a list of illegal constructed building, however, the officials are also receiving huge bribe in the preparation of this list.
Earlier on March 7, Sources revealed that several officers of the Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) were allegedly sending notices to residents in North Nazimabad, pretending to a part of an ongoing drive on directives of the Supreme Court.
Several SBCA officers have taken advantage of the Supreme Court’s directive to take stern action against illegal allotments and constructions in the city to make a quick buck for themselves.
