ISLAMABAD: The Saudi leadership applauded endeavors of Prime Minister Imran Khan to diminish tensions and to promote peace and stability in the gulf region.
According to sources, during his recent one-day visit to Saudia Arabia, the Prime Minister met King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud and Mohammad bin Salman. This trip to Saudia Arabia was the part of PM’s initiative for peace and stability.
In this high-level meeting, PM Imran Khan emphasized on the deep-rooted relationship that the two countries share. According to reports, PM Imran Khan said Pakistan will never hesitate to play the role of facilitator when it comes to lessening the tensions between Iran and Saudia Arabia.
Sources further revealed that PM Imran Khan stressed the military intervention in the conflicts and focused on the significance of constructive part of all the parties.
Lastly, he maintained that Pakistan will always stand shoulder to shoulder with Saudia Arabia.
On the other hand, the Saudi leadership also acknowledged the worthwhile efforts of Pakistan regarding the promotion of stability in the gulf region.
The Kingdom also assured to maintain commitment and close ties with Pakistan along with full-fledged collaboration in the fields like security, trade, defence and energy.
