ISLAMABAD: Saudi Falcon Vision Group has expressed interest in investing $10 billion in Pakistan, with the government assuring full facilitation for the proposed investment.
A high-level delegation of Saudi Falcon Vision Group, along with other foreign investors, met Federal Minister for Board of Investment Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh to discuss potential investment opportunities in the country.
During the meeting, the Saudi group conveyed strong interest in investing in multiple sectors of Pakistan’s economy, including infrastructure and modern technology. The minister said the group is also evaluating other profitable areas for investment.
Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh said the government is offering full cooperation to foreign investors and has taken steps to make Pakistan more attractive for investment. He noted that foreign investors are allowed to repatriate 100 percent of their profits abroad, which he described as a major incentive.
He added that a one-window facility is being provided through Business Facilitation Centers for approvals, while special tax incentives and other benefits are available for investors in special economic zones across the country.
The minister said the Board of Investment is working to ensure the effective implementation of investor-friendly policies to help accelerate economic activity in Pakistan.
