Makkah: The Saudi Arabian government has banned the carrying of water cans and bags inside the Grand Mosque Al-Haram.
Saif Al-Salmi, the caretaker of Masjid al-Haram gates, said that those who come to worship at Masjid al-Haram should take care of the relevant rules and regulations so that no one faces any problems.
Al-Salami stated in a conversation with Saudi TV Al-Akhbariya that the administration of Masjid al-Haram provides all possible facilities to the pilgrims.
All officials have been instructed not to allow anyone with water cans or large bags to enter the premises of Masjid al-Haram, added Saif.
This ban was imposed earlier too, but later when it was relaxed, people started bringing goods. As a result, others face severe hardships.
Many people also leave personal belongings in the corridors, resulting in problems for the passers-by.
Security reasons are also behind the newly imposed ban. Nowadays a large number of pilgrims are present in Makkah to Perform Umrah.
