KHIPRO: Sanghar police have sought the public’s help finding a man accused of assaulting nine children in a village near Sanghar district of Sindh.
According to sources, police launched an investigation against an influential person accused of torturing nine children for cutting wood in a jungle in the Sanghar district.
The accused man tied the children and tortured them for hours after he caught them cutting the wood. The kids were cutting wood in the Aqil Hangoorja village near Khipro in Sanghar, sources added. Sources further said three children have head injuries admitted to a hospital.
Sources noted that the children who were assaulted were aged six to 13. They added that the kids informed their parents upon returning home about what they had gone through.
Police said that the parents filed a complaint after hearing about their kids’ experience. A search for the accused has been initiated, they added.
On July 3, A man, along with his wife, had allegedly assaulted his pregnant sister over a property dispute in Rawalpindi.
According to details, the incident took place near Mohammadi Colony within the jurisdiction of Sadiqabad Police Station. A resident of the colony had filed a case against the accused.
The plaintiff, Asma Sattar, informed that the man, along with his wife, brutally assaulted his pregnant sister. As a result of assaulting, the woman suffered a miscarriage. The victim was identified as Sayla.
The plaintiff further informed that the victim was a married woman and the mother of a girl. “The house in which Sayla lives is owned by her late father Abdul Sattar,” Asma Sattar informed.
She maintained that the victim’s late father had equally distributed property worth millions of rupees among his son and daughter. The plaintiff informed that the victim’s brother wants to evict her and take possession of the property.
In this regard, the victim said that she feared for her life as her brother wanted to murder her. She demanded the police and higher authorities to provide protection and justice.
