Pakistan’s Saim Ayub has regained the number one position in the ICC Men’s T20 All-Rounder Rankings. His strong performances in the recent T20 series against Australia helped him move up.
Pakistan won the three-match series 3-0, dominating the visitors in every game. Saim scored 119 runs and took three wickets. His all-round display earned praise from cricket experts.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced on Wednesday that Saim overtook Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza to reclaim the top spot. His rise comes just days before the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, where Pakistan will aim for their second title in the 20-over format. The team last won the T20 World Cup in 2009.
Pakistani spinner Abrar Ahmed also made significant gains. He moved up two spots to second in the T20 bowling rankings after taking six wickets in the series.
He is now only 28 rating points behind India’s Varun Chakravarthy, the current top-ranked T20 bowler.
Another spinner, Mohammad Nawaz, rose eight places to seventh in the bowler rankings after his five-wicket haul in the final match of the series. He also climbed one position to fourth in the T20 all-rounder list.
