Riyadh Air has officially announced the launch of its operations to Pakistan, providing Pakistani travellers with a new travel option to Saudi Arabia.
According to the airline, daily non-stop flights between Riyadh and Islamabad will commence on August 14 as part of the first phase of operations. The move is being described as a significant step towards strengthening air connectivity between the two brotherly countries.
The airline also announced that direct flights to Lahore will begin on August 18. Initially, the route will operate three flights per week, with the possibility of increasing frequency in the future depending on passenger demand.
Riyadh Air said the new service will provide business travellers, tourists, Umrah pilgrims, and Pakistani expatriates living in Saudi Arabia with faster, more convenient, and modern travel options.
According to aviation experts, the launch of Riyadh Air’s services to Pakistan is expected to strengthen people-to-people ties between the two countries while also promoting trade, investment, tourism, and broader economic cooperation.
Officials added that the airline may consider expanding its network to include additional Pakistani cities in the future. However, no formal announcement has yet been made regarding further destinations.
