KARACHI: Pakistan Rangers and police on Saturday claimed to have apprehended 19 suspected criminals from different areas of the megacity.
Rangers spokesperson Major Qambar Raza said the paramilitary forces conducted raids in different areas of the city, including Liaquatbad, Baldia town, paposh Nagar and Shahrah-e-Faisal and detained 16 suspected criminals for their alleged involvement in several street crimes.
The spokesperson further said in another targeted actions by a rangers teams in Garden and Shehrah-e-Faisal nabbed three drug peddlers. He said that the arrested criminals were handed over to the police for legal formalities.
The rangers also recovered drugs, weapons, stolen motorcycles, and other stuff from the suspects’ possession. On 27 February, Rangers have conducted operations in various parts of the Karachi and arrested five criminals.
Rangers’ officials had informed the paramilitary force conducted intelligence-based raids different area of the city. The arrested were identified as Kamran Amjad, Waqar aka Buntoo, Asad aka Chota, Sheeraz alias Sherry and Adnan.
