In anticipation of the holy month of Ramadan, starting tomorrow, Thursday, February 19, 2026, federal and provincial authorities have finalized the revised schedules for judicial, administrative, and educational institutions.
After the approval of the Chief Justice, the Registrar’s Office issued a formal notification of the new court and office working hours of the Islamabad High Court and subordinate courts.
According to the notification, during Ramadan, cases will be heard from 9.30 to 11.30 from Monday to Thursday, the court will take a break from 11.30 to 12.00 every day, and division bench cases will be heard from 12.00 to 1.30. On Friday, cases will be heard only from 9.30 to 11.30.
From Monday to Thursday, the office working hours will be from 9.00 to 2.30; on Friday, the office working hours will be from 9.00 to 12.00; cases will be heard in subordinate courts from 9.00 to 2.30; and cases will be heard in subordinate courts from 9.00 to 12.00 on Friday.
Earlier, the Federal Constitutional Court of Pakistan also issued a notification regarding office working hours during Ramadan.
From Monday to Thursday, offices will remain open from 9 am to 2 pm, while on Friday and Saturday, office hours have been fixed from 9 am to 12:30 pm.
Timings in Sindh
On the other hand, during Ramadan, government offices in Sindh will remain open from 10 am to 4 pm, while on Friday, offices will remain open from 10 am to 1 pm.
Schools in Punjab
According to the report, the School Education Department of Punjab has changed the working hours of schools during Ramadan. During Ramadan, schools will start at 8:30 am, while the holiday will be at 1 pm.
Teachers will also have a holiday on Saturdays during Ramadan. A notification has also been issued in this regard. Which will be applicable from the 1st of Ramadan.
