Rain in various cities of Punjab, including the provincial capital Lahore, has made the weather pleasant. The Meteorological Department says the spell of intermittent rain is expected to continue in the city during the next 24 hours.
According to details, several areas of Lahore received rainfall today. Heavy rain in Lodhran and surrounding areas inundated various city roads. Power supply was suspended in several areas soon after the rain began.
Apart from Lahore and Lodhran, thunder and rain in Pakpattan and surrounding areas also made the weather pleasant. In Kamalia city and nearby areas, heavy rain accompanied by thunder and lightning was recorded.
Meanwhile, weather conditions changed in northeastern Balochistan. An unusual cold wave has begun in northern Balochistan. The first western cold wave entering through Iran has started affecting northwestern areas.
During the rain in Chichawatni, hailstorm was also reported in urban and rural areas. In Jahanian and nearby areas, heavy rain turned the weather pleasant. Toba Tek Singh and surrounding areas also experienced heavy rain with thunder and lightning.
The western cold wave brought a dust storm as well. Several areas of Balochistan, including Chaman, were affected by the dust storm. A large number of local residents began suffering from nose, throat, and respiratory problems.
