Afghanistan’s aggressive top-order batter Rahmanullah Gurbaz has announced his withdrawal from the 11th season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Peshawar Zalmi had included the Afghan cricketer in their squad through a direct signing ahead of the auction for PSL Season 11.
However, Gurbaz shared a video message in Pashto on Instagram in which he announced his decision to pull out of the tournament and explained the reason behind it.

“I will not be available for the PSL due to some personal commitments. After the World Cup, I am returning to Afghanistan,” Gurbaz said.
In the caption of his post, the Afghan opener thanked fans for their continued support, writing: “Thank you for all the love and support.”
It is worth noting that Peshawar Zalmi had confirmed Gurbaz’s signing on 5 February through their official social media accounts.
The announcement featured a graphic poster showing Gurbaz wearing a traditional turban against a mountainous backdrop. However, the franchise did not disclose the value of the contract.
