Temperatures in Karachi are expected to drop as cold Quetta winds forecasted to hit the city, creating a sharp chill in the air, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has said.
The Met Office says Karachi’s nighttime temperatures are expected to fall between 13°C and 15°C over the next 24 hours.
Meanwhile, PMD forecasts a dominant continental air mass continues to influence much of the country, reinforcing the onset of a stronger winter spell.
Moreover, the Met Office anticipates cold and dry conditions across Pakistan tomorrow, with particularly harsh cold expected in elevated regions. Fog is likely to thicken gradually over the plains of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, potentially reducing visibility during early-morning and late-night travel hours.
The department added that both daytime and nighttime temperatures in northern parts of the country are forecast to decline further over the coming days.

Most regions experienced cold and dry weather, while mountainous areas saw particularly frigid conditions. Several low-lying districts in Punjab and KP reported smog and intermittent fog, contributing to reduced air quality and visibility.
