The provincial assemblies of Punjab and Sindh have been convened to present their budgets for the 2026–27 fiscal year.
The 43rd budget session of the Punjab Assembly will be held on Tuesday, June 16, at 2:00 p.m., under the chairmanship of Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan.
During the session, the provincial government is expected to present its budget for the upcoming fiscal year, outlining new targets for development projects and public expenditures. According to the Assembly Secretariat, the official notification for the session has already been issued.
Meanwhile, the budget session of the Sindh Assembly has been scheduled for Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. Syed Murad Ali Shah will present the provincial budget for the new fiscal year before the house.
Prior to the assembly session, the Sindh Cabinet is expected to meet to approve the budget proposals before their formal presentation.
According to sources, the Sindh Assembly’s budget session is likely to continue for approximately five days. A supplementary budget is also expected to be tabled during the proceedings, while final approval of the provincial budget is anticipated next week.
