LAHORE: A spokesman of the Punjab Health Department has said that 124 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in the province during the last 24 hours.
A spokesman for the health department said that 68 cases were reported in Lahore, 12 in Multan, four in Nankana Sahib, one in Muzaffargarh, and three in Jhelum.
He said that two cases of coronavirus were reported in Faisalabad. A spokesman for the Punjab Health Department said 12 cases were reported in Rawalpindi, one in Khanewal, two in Sargodha, four in Gujarat, and one in Bhakkar.
In the last 24 hours, two cases were reported in Sahiwal, four in Gujranwala, two in Mandi Bahauddin, two in Vehari, and one each in Sheikhupura and Khushab.

A spokesman for the provincial health department said that five people had died in coronavirus in the last 24 hours in Punjab, bringing the death toll to 2,288.
It may be recalled that 17 more people have died in Pakistan due to the coronavirus and the total number of deaths has reached 6,638. According to the National Command and Operations Center, 641 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in the last 24 hours and the total number has reached 322,452. In Pakistan, 9,174 patients of coronavirus are undergoing treatment, and 36,640 have recovered.
The coronavirus has killed 2,288 people in Punjab and 2,574 in Sindh. The death toll in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has risen to 1,265, 194 in Islamabad, 146 in Balochistan, 90 in Gilgit-Baltistan, and 81 in Azad Kashmir.
