LAHORE: The Punjab police on Thursday dismissed rumors circulating on social media over the emergence of the gang abducting child and deemed the news as ‘false and baseless’.
Sharing a post on the social networking website Twitter, the Punjab Police wrote that various social media accounts are spreading rumors about the activities of a woman and ber gang abducting children from streets, neighborhoods and schools, which have no truth.
According to Punjab Police, the purpose of spreading such news is to spread fear among people and parents. The police urged the citizens to prove that they are responsible citizens and also asked not to spread such false news without verification.
