LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Trade & Industries Mian Aslam Iqbal has said the Rozgar program was the mega initiative for providing soft loans for starting a small-scale business and the needy could get an increased amount of loans of different categories, ranging from Rs 100,000 to Rs 10 million.
Aslam Iqbal said Rs 10 billion have been earmarked for this mega program in the current fiscal year. Aslam Iqbal apprised that a transparent strategy will be formulated for the provision of soft loans.
The minister urged that these soft loans will be disbursed under a transparent system irrespective of any political affiliation.
He underscored that economic activities will be increased along with generating new employment opportunities with the provision of soft loans under such a mega programme.
The minister regretted that only the ruling elite used to enjoy the benefits of development in the past, however, the PTI government’s projects like Ehsaas, Kamyab Jawan, Sehat Insaaf Card and Shelter Homes for the benefit of the common man.
An increase in exports and economic stability are major macroeconomic achievements of the PTI, he said and added that the steady economic recovery and holistic industrialization have panicked the opposition and the PDM leadership is worried about its bleak political future.
Those avoiding to tender resignations have no capacity or potential to hold a long march and every conspiracy of the defeated elements will be foiled, he vowed.
Mian Aslam Iqbal asserted that those trying to interrupt the development procedure would not get anything, adding that the alliance of the fraud leaders had now succumbed to their hypocrisy.
He suggested the opposition to reconsider its negative manner after repeated defeats as the conspirators have been fully exposed.
