PESHAWAR: PTI’s petition for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly elections will be heard in Peshawar High Court today.
According to the details, the request of PTI to give the date of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly elections was scheduled for hearing on April 12. The date of the elections will be given by the Election Commission to either the court or the governor, these all queries will be part of the hearing.
A 2-member bench comprising senior high court judge Justice Ibrahim Khan and Justice Abdul Shakoor will hear the petition of Tehreek-e-Insaaf. In its petition, PTI has requested the court to give a date for holding the election in the provincial assembly.

It should be noted that earlier last month PTI’s application was fixed for hearing. It was decided that a 2-member bench of the Peshawar High Court will hear the petition, which will include Justice Ijaz Anwar and Justice Arshad Ali.
PTI filed a petition against the postponement of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly elections on April 10. The party took the stand that under the constitution, the caretaker government is required to hold elections compulsorily within 90 days.
The petition said that if the elections cannot be held in 90 days, then they should be held in the shortest possible time. Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Haji Ghulam Ali should be ordered to give an immediate date for elections.
