ISLAMABAD: A local court here on Sunday granted physical remand of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Ali Amin Gandapur for one day.

During the course of proceedings today, The prosecutor in the case had sought a five-day physical remand of the PTI leader. The case is related to an alleged threatening call by Ali Amin Gandapur.

In the said audio, Ali Amin Gandapur had threatened that if Imran Khan was arrested, Islamabad would be occupied and taken over. Allegedly, he had also threatened the Islamabad Police. The case has caused significant controversy and has been widely reported in the media, but the authenticity of the audio is yet to be established.
Gandapur, it may be recalled, was handed over to the Islamabad Capital Territory Police by a court in Dera Ismail Khan on Saturday, in a case registered against him at the capital’s Police Station Golra.

The former federal minister and PTI leader was arrested by the police in DI Khan on Thursday in separate cases filed by Islamabad and Punjab police.
