KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has expanded its protest against the new local government system in Sindh as its workers observed a symbolic hunger strike in Karachi.

PTI leaders protested in front of the offices of deputy commissioners and chanted slogans against the local body system approved by the Sindh Assembly.

PTI Karachi President and Member Sindh Assembly Khurram Sher Zaman, Raja Azhar, Adeel Ahmed, Saeed Afridi and other leaders participated in the symbolic hunger strike.

On this occasion, Khurram Sher Zaman while talking to MM News said that this is the beginning of protest against the black law passed by the Sindh government, we will go to any extent, he added.

PTI leader Khurram Sherzaman said that the Sindh government should not consider peaceful protest as our weakness. The PTI MPA invited the whole Sindh to join the protest outside the Sindh Assembly on December 19.

Not only Karachi but all the citizens of Sindh should come out for their rights and force the Sindh government to withdraw the black local body law. He said that the Sindh government would not be allowed to seize the resources.

He said that Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah’s talk of separation of Sindh from Pakistan was regrettable. Sindh was, is and will remain a part of Pakistan. Those who talk of separating Sindh from Pakistan will be silenced.
