ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders have expressed anger over the non-purchase of cheap oil from Russia, calling the current coalition government a slave of the United States.
According to details, PTI senator and former finance minister Shaukat Tarin said in a statement that the government was creating problems for the people by increasing the prices of petroleum products.
Former Finance Minister Shaukat Tareen said the government should subsidize motorbikes and taxi drivers on petrol. The federal government has significantly increased the price of diesel.
Senator Shaukat Tarin said that it was stated in the Senate session that petrol prices would not be increased. “We have been saying for days that the government should buy cheap oil from Russia. If these people had bought oil from Russia, prices would not have risen today,” he added.
On the other hand, a former federal minister and PTI leader Farrukh Habib said that the government has increased the price of petrol by Rs 84 and diesel by Rs 120 in the last 15 days, which is a suicide attack of the worst inflation.
PTI leader Farrukh Habib strongly criticized the current government’s move to increase the price of petroleum, saying that the slave government was not buying cheap oil from Russia.
