Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has successfully reached an agreement with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Parliamentarian (PTIP) on government formation in Pakhtunkhwa, a development confirmed by Ziaullah Bangash, the spokesperson for PTIP.
Significant progress was achieved during the initial two rounds of negotiations between PTI and PTIP, focusing on government formation and seat allocation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. A joint meeting of both parties finalized all key points.
Ziaullah Bangash, serving as the spokesperson for Tehreek-e-Insaf Parliamentarian, verified the ongoing discussions with PTI. He highlighted that legal teams from both parties have addressed issues related to the allocation of specific seats and government formation.
It has been revealed that both Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and Tehreek-e-Insaf Parliamentarians have agreed in principle to unite. To facilitate this, a team of legal experts has been assembled by both parties to review matters concerning the acquisition of specific seats.
Sources suggest that pending any legal issues or complications, the newly elected members supported by PTI will join PTIP. Ziaullah Bangash emphasized that this decision has the approval of leadership on both sides. However, he clarified that Parvez Khattak’s resignation is unrelated to the unification of the two parties. Due to health reasons, Khattak has resigned from the party chairmanship and primary party membership.
Ziaullah Bangash further stated that following Parvez Khattak’s resignation, former Chief Minister Mahmood Khan now heads PTIP. He will collaboratively address matters with the PTI leadership.
