ISLAMABAD: The PTI leadership has stopped its members from appearing before Speaker of National Assembly Raja Pervaiz Ashraf and confirming their resignations on the alleged directive of former Prime Minister Imran Khan.
According to details, yesterday Raja Pervaiz Ashraf appeared before the PTI members and summoned them for verification of their resignations. However, the PTI leadership reportedly barred its members from appearing and ordered them to refrain from verification.
Sources close to the PTI leadership said that the central leaders had told the assembly members that there was no need to go before Speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf to confirm the resignations.
Earlier, members of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Assembly were summoned by National Assembly Speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf to confirm their resignations. Letters were also issued directing the resigned members of PTI to appear before the Speaker.

Earlier, PTI MLAs announced their resignation on the floor of the National Assembly following the removal of former Prime Minister Imran Khan. Former Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi in his speech during the election of the Prime Minister said that we resign from this House.
