Pakistan Stock Exchange witnessed a strong bullish trend for the second consecutive day on Tuesday as the benchmark KSE-100 Index gained 1278.15 points with a 1.09% positive change and closed at 118,575.88 points against 117,297.73 points in the previous session.
The stock market witnessed a strong rally soon starting the trading and within minute crossed the 120,000 points mark, however later the selling pressure emerged and KSE-100 Index fell in red for a while but the bulls returned again and then remained for the whole session.
The high level of the stock market during the session was recorded at 120,067.12 points, and the low at 116,859.9.
A total of 365,117,233 shares were traded during the day as compared to 732,877,141 shares the previous trading day, whereas the price of shares stood at Rs 43.759 billion against Rs 30.382 billion on the last trading day.
As many as 461 companies transacted their shares in the stock market, 220 of them recorded gains and 194 sustained losses, whereas the share price of 47 companies remained unchanged.
