The Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 draft ceremony is underway in Lahore.Franchise owners and team management are attending the event, with Lahore Qalandars’ Atif Rana, Sameen Rana, and captain Shaheen Shah Afridi also present.
According to a report by Geo News on Monday, the draft is being held at Hazoori Bagh Lahore, near the Lahore Fort, with Olympic gold medalist Arshad Nadeem also attending the ceremony.
Lahore Qalandars selected Daryl Mitchell in the Platinum category, while Karachi Kings chose David Warner. Quetta Gladiators picked Tom Kohler-Cadmore in the Platinum category and also selected New Zealand’s top-order batter Finn Allen.
Peshawar Zalmi acquired Tom Kohler-Cadmore via Right to Match in the Platinum category, and Quetta Gladiators also picked Mark Chapman. Multan Sultans selected Michael Bracewell in the Platinum category.
Islamabad United picked Matthew Short in the Platinum category, while Karachi Kings selected New Zealand’s fast bowler Adam Milne and Abbas Afridi via Wild Card in the Platinum category.
