Private schools association (PSA) in Sindh have renewed their demand for the cancellation of matriculation exams in Karachi, citing mismanagement issues. They insist that all matriculation exams conducted by the Matriculation Board in Karachi should be declared null and void, with new exams to be arranged.
During a press conference held in Karachi, Chairman Haider Ali expressed concern over the questionable nature of the board-conducted matriculation exams, attributing it to mismanagement. He criticized the Deputy Controller of Examinations of the Matriculation Board for failing to oversee the examination arrangements effectively.
Ali highlighted that over one and a half million students are currently sitting for the exams, yet there is a lack of monitoring at examination centers. He described a situation where students are forced to take exams on roads under the open sky, raising serious doubts about the fairness and integrity of the examination process. He questioned the accountability for the futures of hundreds of thousands of students, both boys and girls.
The Chairman of Private Schools in Sindh demanded the immediate removal of the Controller of Examinations and urged for the cancellation of all previously conducted papers. Furthermore, he proposed rescheduling the exams to take place 15 days later to address the ongoing issues.
Additionally, it has been reported that aside from mismanagement, examination papers are being leaked on social media platforms before the scheduled exam times. This further exacerbates the concerns regarding the integrity and fairness of the examination process.
