The Central Directorate of National Savings (CDNS) has revised the profit rates on several National Savings Schemes (NSS), effective November 4, 2025.
The profit rate on the Sarwa Islamic Term Account has been raised from 9.50% to 9.92% per annum.
Meanwhile, the rate on Defence Savings Certificates has been reduced by 11 basis points (bps) to 11.31%, down from 11.42% previously.
Similarly, the Bahbood Savings Certificates (BSC) rate has been cut by 24 bps to 12.72%, from 12.96% earlier. The Pensioners’ Benefit Account (PBA) and the Shuhada Family Welfare Account (SFWA) have also seen a 24 bps decrease, bringing their new profit rate to 12.72%.

In contrast, the Regular Income Certificates rate has been increased by 12 bps, rising to 10.92% from 10.80%, while both the Special Savings Certificates and Special Savings Account rates have gone up by 20 bps, now standing at 10.60%.
The National Savings Organization remains Pakistan’s largest financial institution, managing a portfolio of over Rs3.4 trillion and serving more than 4 million customers through 376 branches under 12 regional directorates nationwide. The CDNS plays a crucial role in financing government budget deficits and supporting key infrastructure projects across the country.
