US President Donald Trump has announced that a major UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) event will be held at the White House on his 80th birthday next year.
Trump said this during a speech at Naval Station Norfolk, where he was present at the 250th anniversary of the US Navy.
He said that the UFC fight will take place on June 14, 2026, the date he celebrates his birthday.
Trump has a close personal relationship with UFC president Dana White. Trump has always considered UFC fans to be his best political supporters.
The president had previously announced in July that a UFC event would be held at the White House, but no date was given at that time.
“And on June 14th next year, we’re going to have a big UFC fight at the White House, right at the White House on the grounds of the White House.”

Dana White told the Sports Business Journal this week that the UFC will spend $7 billion to reseed the White House’s South Lawn after the event.
Trump has attended several UFC events since becoming president, most recently in New Jersey in June.
He has been associated with the UFC since 2000, when the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City was one of the few venues willing to host UFC fights.
