ISLAMABAD: The shortfall of electricity has increased to 5,141 MW, and the period of load shedding has also increased.
According to the details, the sources of the Power Division say that the production of electricity is 23,759 MW and the demand is 28,900 MW.
According to the sources of the Power Division, due to shortfall, load-shedding is being done for up to 8 hours in different cities of the country.
Sources Power Division said that 7,900 MW of electricity is being generated from hydropower sources. Government thermal plants are generating 789 MW of electricity.
The production of private sector power plants is 10,650 MW. Wind power plants are generating 1,000 and solar plants are generating 143 megawatts of electricity. 76 MW is being generated from bagasse power plants, 3,201 MW from nuclear fuel.
