Following the Enforcement Directorate (ED) raids on properties linked to actor Shilpa Shetty Kundra and her husband Raj Kundra as part of an ongoing pornography investigation, the businessman responded on social media.
According to Indian media, in a brief statement, he requested that his wife’s name not be involved in the matter. Raj posted a message on Instagram, urging people to stop “repeatedly dragging my wife’s name into unrelated matters.”
He clarified, “To whom it may concern, while the media loves drama, let’s set the record straight: I am fully cooperating with the ongoing investigation, which has been ongoing for the past four years. As for the claims of ‘associates,’ ‘pornography,’ and ‘money laundering,’ no amount of sensationalism can obscure the truth. Justice will prevail in the end!”
The report by Indian Express suggests that Raj Kundra also addressed the media directly, stating, “It’s unacceptable to repeatedly drag my wife’s name into unrelated matters. Please respect the boundaries.”
The ED’s raid took place on Friday as part of a money laundering case tied to the alleged distribution of adult content, with 15 locations across Mumbai and Uttar Pradesh targeted, including Raj’s home and office.
Raj was reportedly questioned during the raid. Following the incident, Shilpa’s lawyer issued a statement clarifying that she was not involved in any wrongdoing. Advocate Prashant Patil rejected claims that Shilpa’s property was raided, calling the reports “misleading,” and emphasized that Raj is cooperating with the investigation.
