Maulana Syed Abdul Khabir Azad, Chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, met with His Holiness Pope Leo XIV, the spiritual leader of the Catholic Church, at the Vatican City, where they discussed interfaith harmony and global peace.
According to Pakistan Television (PTV), the meeting focused on promoting peace, religious coexistence, the dissemination of “Paigham-e-Pakistan”, and other matters of mutual interest.
The gathering was attended by religious scholars, clerics, and faith leaders from around the world.

Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad emphasized the importance of peace through interfaith dialogue, highlighting the need to eliminate violence and promote respect for humanity.
Pope Leo thanked the participants, stressing that the world needs interfaith harmony now more than ever and underlined the significance of strengthening dialogue among faiths.
During the meeting, Maulana Azad also presented Pope Leo with Pakistan’s national narrative “Paigham-e-Pakistan”, which the Pope appreciated.
