It has been reported that the girl made 60 such videos, but police said they came across only one video of the accused herself and she also admitted to having made only one video.
The warden and several students apprehended the girl who filmed the video. The warden is heard in the film noting that she has been committing this wrongdoing for a while.
Earlier, it was alleged that the girl who made the video sent it to a boy in Shimla. It was reported that the boy from Shimla distributed the disputed videos on social media.
It was said that at least 8 of the girls attempted suicide after learning about this.
Around 2.30 am on Sunday, the girls were checked into several hospitals. One of the girls’ conditions is reportedly in critical condition. The kid who posted the video on social media and the girl who recorded it are both from Himachal Pradesh.
The Chandigarh University’s female students said that they were being under pressure from the institution’s administration to keep the situation quiet. Students assert that they complained to the college administration, but no action has been taken.
