The burned body of kidnapped Mustafa Amir, who was abducted for ransom last month, was recovered from a car near the Hub checkpost in Balochistan, investigation officers claimed on Friday.
According to the investigators, Amir’s body was found in a burned vehicle near the Hub checkpost. “Amir was taken in the same car to Hub Chowki, where Armughan and his friend set it on fire,” they added.
In a press conference today, Crime Investigation Agency Deputy Inspector General (CIA-DIG) Muqaddas Haider stated that the recovery of Amir’s mobile phone and other evidence from Armughan’s house was a turning point in the investigation.
He also announced the arrest of another suspect, Shiraz Bukhari, alias Shavez, on suspicion of collaborating with the prime accused in the murder.

Earlier, police conducted an operation at the house of the accused, Armughan, located in Defence Phase 5, where bullet marks were found in a hidden room, and bloodstains were detected on the carpet.
Haider further stated that the DNA of Mustafa Amir’s mother was sent to a lab for comparison with the blood found at Armughan’s house.
He added that when police raided the house in search of Mustafa, Armughan opened fire with heavy weapons, injuring a DSP and a policeman.
