ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will leave today for a visit to Turkey with the aim of expressing solidarity with the earthquake-affected Turkish citizens.
According to the details, PM Shehbaz Sharif will leave for a visit to Turkey along with the federal cabinet members. Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and other federal ministers will also accompany the prime minister.
During his visit, the prime minister will express solidarity with the top leadership of Turkey including Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on the loss of lives and property caused by the worst earthquake in history.
Earlier, the prime minister had expressed regret over the most devastating earthquake in the history of Turkey. After the announcement of going to Turkey with Foreign Minister Bilawal, the visit to Turkey was cancelled due to unknown reasons.

On the other hand, the worst earthquake in Turkey and Syria killed more than 41,000 people. Severa; people are still buried under the debris, and rescue operations are underway to get them out. The death toll is expected to increase further.
According to the statement of the Turkish government, the recent earthquake affected approximately 13 million people in Turkey. It should be noted that the aftershocks of the earthquake that occurred 10 days ago have also caused havoc, and the trapped people are being rescued.
