KARACHI: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday met with Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) leader Pir Pagara Sibghatullah Shah Rashidi at Kingri House in Karachi.
Matters of mutual interest, the current political situation in the province and other issues were came under discussion in the meeting with the spiritual leader of the Hurr Jamaat who is also the chief of the Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F).
PM Imran Khan said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led government wantsto take all the coalition parties on board to address public issues and strengthen ties with allies parties.
Pir Pagara thanked the prime minister for visiting his residence and expressed resolve to continue supporting the incumbent government.
Prime Minister Imran Khan had arrived in Karachi on a day-long visit. Earlier, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah called on the prime minister Governor House in Karachi.
During the meeting, matters pertaining to federal government funded development projects and financial issues in the province especially in Karachi came under discussion.
Governor Sindh Imran Ismail was also present on the occasion. Sindh Chief Minister briefed the prime minister about the ongoing development projects in the province specially in Karachi.
CM Murad requested PM Imran Khan to remove the incumbent provincial Inspector General of Police Kaleem Imam. In the meeting, PM Imran and CM Murad reached a consensus over the replacement of Sindh IGP. Sindh Governor Imran Ismail also backed the decision to remove the IGP.
Sindh Governor Imran Ismail briefed PM Imran Khan about the K-4 water project, completion of the Green Line Bus Project and other ongoing development projects in Karachi.
