ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan while instructing the spokespersons to highlight the government’s performance has forbidden them to respond to the opposition’s statements.
During a meeting of government ministers and PTI spokespersons on Monday Prime Minister Imran Khan advised them to avoid responding to statements by the opposition.
Prime Minister Imran Khan further said the government was taking serious measures to control inflation, as he vowed the regime would not let the “Satta” (gambling) mafia thrive in the country.
He said that for the first time comprehensive action is being taken against the Sugar Mafia and those involved in Satta adding that cheap sugar will be available to the citizens during the Holy month of Ramadan.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister approved the endorsement of a one-window operation law against the Satta mafia. On the other hand, PM Imran set up a special committee on media matters and directed to resolved issues face by reporters and media organizations.
The committee includes Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry, Shibli Faraz, Faisal Vawda and Yousuf Baig Mirza. The committee would media persons and will also meet on a daily basis to discuss government performance and statements.
The premier, giving another task to the committee, party leaders and spokespersons, said they should keep an eye on inflation. During the meeting, the current political, economic and Covid-19 situation in the country was discussed.
