LAHORE: Prime Minister Khan met on Saturday Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and discussed range of matters, including the COVID-19 situation in Lahore.
During the meeting, the PM discussed the budget recently presented by the federal government. On a social media website Twitter, Punjab Spokesperson Musarrat Cheema said that steps to provide relief for weaker segments of the society were also discussed.
“Government of Punjab is trying to give maximum relief to people and also ensuring the availability of medical supplies to Hospitals,” she added.

The premier and CM also discussed the situation regarding coronavirus and steps taken by the provincial government to check the spread of the virus. They also discussed the locusts and its elimination.
Prime Minister Imran Khan ordered to further tighten the lockdown restrictions and Coronavirus standard operating procedures (SOPs) in Lahore. PM Imran Khan said that strict action should be taken wherever SOPs are being violated.
The premier said that the precautionary measures will be strictly implemented in any case including wearing face masks, social distance and other precautions.
The government is not afraid of the criticism as the opposition is meant to criticize, PM Imran Khan said, adding that despite facing many challenges and difficulties, the government is making efforts to keep the situation under control.
