LAHORE: The recent increase in the prices of petroleum products has been challenged in the Lahore High Court.
In the Lahore High Court, a separate petition against the increase in the prices of petroleum products has been filed by citizen Munir Ahmed through the mediation of Azhar Siddique, in which the Ministry of Petroleum and OGRA were made parties.
It has been said in the petition that the increase in the prices of petroleum products is illegal, and the court should declare the increase in the prices of petroleum products invalid.

It should be noted that the government has increased the prices of petroleum products, after which the new price of petrol per liter has become Rs 272, high-speed diesel Rs 280 per liter, and light-speed diesel Rs 196.68 paise per liter.
On the other hand, Ogar has issued a notification that gas has been increased by 16 to 113 percent for various sectors including domestic consumers, while domestic consumers have been divided into 12 different protected and non-protected categories.
