Gender reveal parties are designed to announce the sex of an expectant couple’s baby by surprising guests with either pink or blue decorations.
Mr Ángel was found in the wreckage of the plane with serious injuries. He was rushed to hospital where he died, the Aviation Safety Network reported.
The incident happened in San Pedro, Sinaloa, on Saturday afternoon. The expectant couple can be seen holding hands and watching the plane flying over a lit-up “Oh Baby” sign adorned with pink and blue balloons.
Friends and family attending the event appeared to be oblivious of the tragedy, cheering on the parents as the gender of their baby was revealed.
