Pakistan makes some of the world’s finest carpets in Peshawar which feature classic designs and traditional colors. But these kinds of carpets are too expensive and that is why the middle class can not afford it.
My name is Sanaullah and I sell rugs on Karachi’s streets. I’ve been doing this job for the past 5 years now. My carpet rates are moderate and that is why I have more customers in the market. I earn 300 to 400 rupees per carpet for which I work hard all day. I want to open my own carpet store but can not do it due to poverty.
