Five crew members of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) were caught red-handed smuggling iPhones, with authorities recovering at least 78 mobile phones from the staff of a Dubai-Multan flight.
According to media reports, two air hostesses were among those apprehended in connection with the smuggling attempt. The incident occurred on flight PK-222, which landed at Multan airport from Dubai.
During the initial inspection, authorities recovered 24 iPhones from the possession of the two air hostesses. Upon questioning, they revealed that some male colleagues were also involved in the smuggling operation. Following this disclosure, 54 more iPhones were recovered from the male crew members.

The statements of those involved have been recorded. While the smuggled phones have been confiscated, the individuals were allowed to leave for home after the inquiry.
