The Pakistan government has announced an increase in the prices of petroleum products.
The Petroleum Division has issued a notification revising petrol and diesel prices effective July 29. According to the notification, the price of petrol has been increased by Rs1.63 per litre, bringing the new price to Rs335.81 per litre.
The notification further states that the price of high-speed diesel has been raised by Rs1.55 per litre, increasing its new retail price to Rs388.38 per litre.
The revised prices will come into effect after 12:00 midnight, in accordance with the government’s daily petroleum pricing mechanism.
The latest adjustment comes after the government’s previous price revision, under which the price of diesel was increased by Rs3.37 per litre, while the price of petrol was reduced by Rs1.00 per litre.
