Former Australian fast bowler and Multan Sultans pacer Peter Siddle was humorously called “Chacha” (uncle) by his girlfriend, adding to the nickname’s popularity.
The 41-year-old, currently featuring in the Pakistan Super League, shared pictures on social media after the Lahore leg of the tournament.
In the comments, his girlfriend wrote “Chacha,” which quickly went viral on social media.
The nickname for Siddle was originally popularised by Haris Rauf during Australia’s Big Bash League.
During a press conference in the Lahore leg, Siddle revealed that Multan players also call him “Chacha.”
He jokingly added that Iftikhar Ahmed is the local “Chacha,” while he is the foreign one. Recently, Steve Smith also addressed Siddle as “Chacha” during a post-match interaction.
