LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has granted permission to five women’s team players to travel to Dubai and participate in the Global Women’s T20 Cricket League, starting from May 1.
According to details, Bismah Maroof, Aliya Riaz, Diana Baig, Fatima Sana and former captain Sana Mir are the five Pakistan players who will travel to UAE.
Sana Mir will lead South Coast Sapphires while Fatima Sana will represent the Barmy Army team. Aliya Riaz and Diana Baig will play for The Tornedos.
Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) will be the host of the global women’s T20 Invitational tournament in 2022 from May 01st – 15th in Dubai, organized by FairBreak Global, the global gender equality initiative.
The competition, approved by International Cricket Council (ICC), will see six team’s compete in a total of 19 matches for the title, as players from across the globe (full members and associate members) will participate in the event, with the matches being given International status.
