A man in Pattoki, Punjab, has alleged that he was kidnapped by his friend on the pretext of being offered a job, drugged, and subjected to an operation in which one of his kidneys was allegedly removed and sold.
According to local media reports, the affected person, identified as Rehmat, a resident of Mohalla Purani Mandi, said that his friend Raza took him along after promising to arrange a good job for him.
Rehmat alleged that on the way, Raza and three of his accomplices made him sit in a vehicle, where he was allegedly given a juice mixed with a sedative, after which he lost consciousness.
He said that when he regained consciousness, he found himself in Rawalpindi and learned that he had undergone surgery.
After returning to Pattoki, Rehmat said he underwent an ultrasound after experiencing health issues, which allegedly revealed that one of his kidneys was missing.

The victim claimed he suspected that his friend and his accomplices had removed and sold his kidney as part of a planned act.
He has demanded a transparent investigation by the authorities and strict punishment for those responsible under the law.
The claims have not yet been independently verified, while authorities have not issued an official statement on the matter.
