A tragic and devastating incident occurred in the Tehkal Payan area of Peshawar, where six members of the same family were killed after a sudden fire broke out in their home.
The victims included a husband, his wife, and their four young children, who lost their lives after being trapped in the flames.
As soon as the incident was reported, rescue teams rushed to the scene and launched an operation to control the fire.
According to rescue officials, the bodies of six people were recovered from a room in the house during a search operation.
The victims have been identified as 55-year-old Siraj, his 40-year-old wife, 11-year-old Hareera, nine-year-old Hanaya, four-year-old Hasnain, and three-year-old Minhal.
All of the victims were found in the same room and died due to the intense heat from the fire and suffocation caused by smoke inhalation.
A spokesperson for Rescue 1122 said in a statement regarding the incident: “The fire started in the hall area of the house, where furniture, foam materials, and other household items were kept, causing the flames to spread rapidly.”
The spokesperson added that “the exact cause of the fire has not yet been determined, and an investigation is underway.”
Rescue officials said that Rescue 1122 teams reached the site and brought the fire under complete control, but the heavy smoke and extreme heat inside the room resulted in the loss of precious human lives.
