Pakistan has increased its exports to the United States (US) during the past four months by 9.39 percent in the current fiscal year (2024-25) compared to last year, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
As reported by Pak Observer on Saturday, SBP data reveals that overall exports to the US were recorded at US $2.037 billion during July-October (2024-25) against exports of US $1.862 billion during July-October (2023-24).
The State Bank of Pakistan’s data suggests that on a year-to-year basis, exports to the US surged to $575.889 million in October 2024 compared to exports of $485.786 million in October of the previous fiscal year (2023-24).
Exports to the US witnessed an increase of 12.58 percent in October 2024 on a month-to-month basis; in September 2024, exports from Pakistan to the US were $511.525 million, according to SBP data.
In the first four months of the current fiscal year (2024-25), Pakistan’s exports to other countries increased by 8.64 percent, from $9.671 billion to $10.507 billion, as indicated by the State Bank of Pakistan’s data.
On the other hand, Pakistan’s imports from the US amounted to $739.163 million, while imports from the same country were $589.239 million in the last fiscal year, showing an increase of 24.44 percent during July to October of the current year.
